FINAL ANNOUNCEMENT

In February 2011 Grenoble will be more than ever the place to gather for all European scientists interested in cutting-edge research using synchrotron radiation. The 21st ESRF Users' Meeting will take place at the ESRF site between 7 - 10 February 2011 and will feature three associated workshops coupled with a plenary meeting devoted to recent advances and future directions in science at the facility.

Parallel sessions and a joint poster session will give the opportunity to enjoy exciting new science and to debate the scientific prospects of the Upgrade Programme.

The plenary meeting will be held on February 8-9 and will feature a keynote lecture by Nobel laureate Venkatraman Ramakrishnan, 4 plenary lectures covering a large spectrum of ESRF activities, a presentation by the instrumentation group, a presentation on the status of the facility, a talk by the winner of the Young Scientist Award and topical and interdisciplinary parallel sessions. The meeting will close with a common session for open discussion of general ESRF matters.

A joint poster session and a banquet at the ESRF restaurant on site will give the opportunity to discuss with fellow researchers, stimulate new ideas and new scientific collaborations.
