This is a user guide to the ID10A beamline. We hope that you will be able to find the answer to most of your questions here. The user guide will focus on the things that are necessary to know in order to plan and perform a successful experiment. This in particular covers a description of the facilities available in the experimental hutch but also an introduction to the machine and optich hutch, the control hutch with all the computer equipment and the chemistry laboratory. The user guide also contains a "trouble shooting" section.

In general, the LOCAL CONTACT will align the beamline and help mounting your sample. The local contact will also teach you how to run the beamline so you afterwards, hopefully can perform a successful experiment.

Please remember that before you start the experiment you should follow a SAFETY TRAINING COURSE. This can be done any time via PCs in the Guest House or in offices around the ring.

In case of any technical problems at the beamline outside normal working hours, contact the floor-coordinator (phone 25-25, on call 24/24 hrs) or look in the trouble shooting section of this user guide.
