Overview

  • Custom made PILATUS3 X CdTe 900K-W-ESRF
  • 9 x CdTe module of 83.8x33.5 mm
  • 4439x195 pixels with 172 μm pixel size
  • 107 photons/s/pixel
  • Data recovered at 1 Hz (typical) rate for sequential analysis, rebin, etc
  • Mounted on fully drivable y, z, ω, ψ, χ stage at sample-detector distances of 2-5 m
  • Accompanied by 4X x-ray eye in-line camera in continuous operation
  • Real-space resolution is <= 0.6 Angstrom

The Pilatus detector consists of 9 modules, which results in a presence of chips on a 2D image. They can be masked or convoluted for further data analysis.

The continuous collection gives .edf images that can be further integrated in Fit2D / Dioptas software to produce 2D images (Fig. 3) for analysing a sample's development with time, pressure, and temperature.
