CM02 - Structural Biology Cryo-Electron Microscope, French CRG
CM02 is part of the "France Cryo-EM" infrastructure financed by the “Plan Investissement d'Avenir 3” scheme which has enabled the purchase of 3 state-of-the-art 300 kV cryo-electron microscopes in France.
CM02 is a Thermo Scientific Titan Krios G4, equipped with a cold FEG, a Selectris X energy filter, a Falcon 4i and a Volta Phase Plate. It is operated as a ESRF CRG line. One third of the beam time is allocated to ESRF users while the rest is available through a curated process for French projects. This cryo-electron microscope is able to carry out single-particle and tomography experiments. It is maintained and operated by a team of 5 people from the IBS/ISBG (Grenoble).
