Travel and site access information

The European Photon and Neutron (EPN) Science Campus is located in Grenoble in South East France, about 3 hours by high-speed train from Paris, 2 hours by bus from Geneva, and 1 hour by high-speed train from Lyon.

Tram line "B" :

- serves downtown Grenoble, including the bus and railway station. It allows easy access (even at night) from downtown Grenoble to the ESRF.

- its terminus - 'Grenoble Presqu'île' - is situated just 350 metres from the site entrance.

Site Access and Badges

Access to EPN Campus site (map)

The site is a restricted area and you will be asked to report in at the site entrance on arrival. You will need to produce proof of identification (e.g. passport, ID card) to enter.

You will be given two badges at the site entrance:
* A visitor badge which is your site access badge. You will be asked to present it at the site entrance each time you wish to enter on site during the period of the event. This badge will also allow you to access the Cryo-EM facility for the practicals.
* A workshop badge to access the on site restaurant.

Please wear theses badges on site over the whole period of the event.

Accommodation & catering information

Guesthouse

We will organise accommodation at the guesthouse on site for the Cryo-EM participants, provided that the request for accommodation arrangement is made through the registration form.
The accommodation expenses will be taken in charge by the organisers.

Please note that:
* for security reasons, the guesthouse is not available for accompanying persons;
* if you arrive after 20.00, you will have to ask for your room key at the site entrance.

Meals

All the meals starting Monday 17^th September till Wednesday 19^th September will be held at the EPN campus restaurant on site. Don't forget to wear your workshop badge to access the restaurant.

A cocktail party will be organised at the end of the workshop.
