Practical Information
As the event is approaching we would like to give you practical information about your arrival on the EPN campus site and the workshop:
How to reach the Grenoble EPN campus

Site entrance
Please do not forget to bring an ID card (e.g. valid passport, valid national identity card). A driver's license is not accepted. A site entrance badge will be given to you at the entrance.
Guesthouse
For the people who are accommodated at the guesthouse on the epn campus, please check the opening hours on the practical information web page to collect your room key.
Registration will start from 12:30 on Wednesday 29 June in the ESRF central building entrance hall, for anyone who would like to have lunch at the EPN campus restaurant, please collect your conference badge from the entrance hall of the central building before lunch.
You should wear the two badges (entrance and conference) during the whole duration of the workshop.
Please note that you will have to sign a presence sheet every day. It will be at your disposal at the workshop reception desk in the entrance hall.
Meals
* Lunch on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday can be taken at the EPN restaurant (groundfloor) on-site. On Wednesday you have to pick up your workshop badge at the registration
(ESRF entrance hall) before lunch. On Thursday only tables are reserved for the workshop participants on the ground-floor in the back of the restaurant.
* Please note that the workshop badge will be mandatory to eat at the EPN campus restaurant.
* The workshop dinner for registered participants will take place on Thursday 30th June at 20:00 at the L'Epicurien restaurant in Grenoble centre, 1 place aux Herbes, Grenoble

Transport by tramway will be used. Non-local participants will receive tram tickets at the registration.
Street art Visit
The meeting point is at 18:15, 19 rue Génissieu à Grenoble. The B tram can be taken from Oxford to Alsace-Lorraine.
For those who wish to be accompanied to the meeting point, we will meet at 17:45 at the site entrance (see attached map).
Posters can be set-up from Wednesday afternoon on the panels in the entrance hall and will stay on show for the duration of the workshop.

Travel and site access information
The European Photon and Neutron (EPN) Science Campus is located in Grenoble in South East France, about 3 hours by high-speed train from Paris, 2 hours by bus from Geneva, and 1 hour by high-speed train from Lyon.

Tram line "B" :
- serves downtown Grenoble, including the bus and railway station. It allows easy access (even at night) from downtown Grenoble to the ESRF.
- its terminus - 'Oxford' - is situated just 350 metres from the site entrance.

Site Access and Badges
Access to EPN Campus site (map)
The site is a restricted area and you will be asked to report in at the site entrance on arrival. You will need to produce proof of identification (ONLY passport or ID card) to enter.
You will be given two badges:
* At the site entrance: a visitor badge which is your site access badge. You will be asked to present it at the site entrance each time you wish to enter on site during the period of the event.
* At the registration desk: a workshop badge to access the workshop and the on site restaurant.
Please wear theses badges on site over the whole period of the event.
The registration desk is at the ground floor of the ESRF central building, main entrance.
