The information given below will help you in organising your visit and stay in Grenoble during the workshop.

Travel and site access information
The European Photon and Neutron (EPN) Science Campus is located in Grenoble in South East France, about 3 hours by high-speed train from Paris, 2 hours by train or bus from Geneva, and 1 hour by high-speed train from Lyon.

Tram line "B" :
- serves downtown Grenoble, including the bus and railway station. It allows easy access (even at night) from downtown Grenoble to the ESRF.
- its terminus - 'Oxford' - is situated just 350 metres from the site entrance.

Site Access and Badges
Access to EPN Campus site (map)
The site is a restricted area and you will be asked to report in at the site entrance on arrival. You will need to produce proof of identification (ONLY passport or ID card) to enter.
You will be given two badges:
* At the site entrance: a visitor badge which is your site access badge. You will be asked to present it at the site entrance each time you wish to enter on site during the period of the event.
* At the registration desk: a workshop badge to access the workshop and the on site restaurant.
Please wear theses badges on site over the whole period of the event.
The registration desk is at the ground floor of the ESRF central building, main entrance.
Meals
Dinner on Monday 7th October evening can be taken at the EPN restaurant on-site. You can pay with your credit card at the cash desk.
The restaurant is closed on Thursday, 10th October evening (free evening for dinner in town or in "Avenue des Martyrs" where are several restaurants very close to the epn campus (1 tram stop).
Lunch on Wednesday and Thursday can be taken at the EPN restaurant on-site. Tables are reserved for the workshop participants on the ground-floor in the back of the restaurant (coffee will be available next to the reserved tables).
Please note that, for non EPN campus staff, the workshop badge will be mandatory to eat at the EPN campus restaurant.
During the poster session on Tuesday evening, a dinner buffet will be served on the mezzanine of the ESRF central building.
The workshop dinner for registered participants will take place on Wednesday, 9 October at 20:00 in the restaurant of the "Musée de Grenoble", Café Andry, 5 Place de Lavalette.
Transport will be by tram. Departure at 18:30 in front of the the epn campus entrance.

To connect to the ESRF WiFi (EPN Visitors) please note that:
* your login is: your e-mail address (the one registered in your ESRF user account)
* your password is: the one used to access your User Account in lower cases
Via Eduroam network: The ESRF, the ILL and the IBS are eduroam-compliant: users who have a valid account in another eduroam compliant institution can use this network
Instructions for speakers
Your presentation in the ESRF auditorium
Please find below important information to avoid technical problems during your presentation.
- the safest solution is to bring your presentation on a USB stick and use the desktop computer in the auditorium. Microsoft power point (version 2016) is installed on this PC. Please upload your talk at the latest during the break before your session.
- If you have a linux or MS windows computer you should be able to use your own laptop. Please bring your adapter and test the connection during the break before your session starts.
- A HDMI cable is available which is not compatible with a MAC.
- The connection with MAC computers to the video projector is not guaranteed even if you bring your own adapter
- A laser pointer will also be at your disposal for your presentation.
