Travel and site access information

The European Photon and Neutron (EPN) Science Campus is located in Grenoble in South East France, about 3 hours by high-speed train from Paris, 2 hours by bus from Geneva, and 1 hour by high-speed train from Lyon.

Tram line "B" :

- serves downtown Grenoble, including the bus and railway station. It allows easy access (even at night) from downtown Grenoble to the ESRF.

- its terminus - 'Oxford' - is situated just 350 metres from the site entrance.

Site Access and Badges

Access to EPN Campus site (map)

The site is a restricted area and you will be asked to report in at the site entrance on arrival. You will need to produce proof of identification (e.g. passport, ID card but NO driving licence) to enter.

You will be given:
* a visitor badge at the site entrance which is your site access badge. You will be asked to present it at the site entrance each time you wish to enter on site during the period of the event. This badge will also allow you to access the Cryo-EM facility for the practicals;
* a workshop badge on Tuesday morning to have lunch/dinner at the onsite restaurant.

Please wear these badges on site over the whole period of the event.

Accommodation & catering information

Accommodation at the ESRF Guesthouse

We will organise accommodation at the guesthouse on site for the Cryo-EM participants from Monday 27^th to Friday 31^st May (4 nights maximum), provided that the request for accommodation arrangement is made through the registration form. The accommodation expenses will be taken in charge by the organisers.

Please note that for security reasons, the guesthouse is not available for accompanying persons.

Opening hours of the guesthouse reception: From Monday to Friday, from 7h00 to 18h00.

If you arrive outside the opening hours you will have to ask for your room key at the site entrance.

Meals

Please note that there won't be any dinner organised on Monday 27^th.

All the meals starting Tuesday 28^th (lunch) till Thursday 30^th (lunch) will be held on site at the EPN campus restaurant.

Don't forget to wear your workshop badge to access the restaurant!
