- Training Course in Complementary Optical Spectroscopies in Macromolecular Crystallography
Training Course in Complementary Optical Spectroscopies in Macromolecular Crystallography
ESRF, EMBL Grenoble Outstation, IBS - Grenoble - France
Venue: ESRF room MD-1-21
Scope of the course
This courses addresses young scientists and students who intend to apply in crystallo optical spectroscopy techniques to macromolecular crystallography. The course will train the selected participants through lectures and practical sessions, including:
- UV-vis absorption
- Raman spectroscopy
- Fluorescence
using both off-line and on-line facilities at the ESRF structural biology beamlines.
Lectures will highlight the importance of combining spectroscopy data to structure analysis and present the facilities available at ESRF, Diamond Light Source and Swiss Light Source.
A final session will be dedicated to some major results achieved in the field.
