Activity devoted to synchrotron radiation instrumentation and research: 

• development and use of computer codes, e.g., ray tracing techniques,  for modelling x-ray optics components with applications to the design of  synchrotron radiation beamlines.  
• development of data analysis tools for different synchrotron techniques  (x-ray absorption spectroscopy, x-ray diffraction, x-ray fluorescence, etc.).  
• apply large facilities to the study of the cultural  heritage. Studies on the structure and chemistry of the Maya blue  pigment.
