EVERYTHING YOU WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT OUR NEW & UPGRADED BEAMLINES
ID24 & BM23 X-ray Absorption beamlines
Raffaella Torchio, ESRF scientist in charge of
ID24-ED & HPLF facility
ABSTRACT
BM23 and ID24, with its two branches ID24-DCM and ID24-ED, are beamlines dedicated to X-ray Absorption spectroscopy. These beamlines make a unit, sharing personnel, equipment and scientific aims. Nevertheless, they feature very different capabilities and parameters, leading to complementary scientific cases. BM23 is a multipurpose beamline, whereas both branches of ID24 have been optimised for specific and more challenging experiments. This webinar will provide an overview of the technical capabilities and the target science cases.
