Users' Meeting 2013 & Associated Workshops

 

POSTER SESSION

 

The participants of the Users' Meeting and workshops are strongly encouraged to submit posters (maximum of 3 posters per participant) on their recent works. The posters will be displayed during a Poster Session organized on Tuesday 5 February (18:00 - 19:30) under the marquee, which will give the participants the opportunity to discover more exciting new science, to discuss with fellow researchers the most recent advances in science, and to stimulate new scientific collaborations.

All posters are eligible for the Best Poster Award provided that a PDF copy of the poster is uploaded on/before Thursday 31st January (inclusive), according to the instructions submission (see below).

Posters must be registered using the appropriate section "Posters" of the electronic registration form, where the participants must provide:

  • the name of the author(s): please specify with the submission which authors are students
  • the poster title
  • the field of research to which the poster belongs

NOTE: SAVE and REGISTER your poster(s) under your FAMILY NAME to facilitate its further processing (i.e.: SMITH_UMPoster.pdf for a poster submitted by J. Smith).

 

Finally, the participant who wishes to have his/her poster eligible for the BEST POSTER AWARD must :

  • upload a PDF file of the poster whose size must NOT EXCEED 10 MB (see the instructions given in the "Posters & Abstracts" page of the electronic registration form).

NOTE: The uploaded posters will remain confidential and visible for evaluation only to the ESRF Users Organization Committee.

 Please do NOT submit abstract for your poster.

 

Deadline

The posters must be registered via the electronic registration form until Friday 18thJanuary (inclusive) in order to be included in the Users' Meeting booklet.

 

Poster Session - Tuesday 5 February

The posters will be displayed on panels under the marquee, grouped by field of research. Each poster will be attributed a specific number and a panel, which can be checked in the booklet.

The poster panels available to fix your posters have the following dimensions: 110 cm high x 85 cm wide or the generic A0 poster format. The posters should fit into this format and can be fixed to the panels with Velcro taps provided by the workshop organizer.

Best Poster Award

An award will be made for the best poster submitted for the Users' Meeting. ONLY posters for which we have received a PDF file will be eligible for the ESRF Best Poster Award.

The posters will be judged by the eight members of the Users Organization and the winner announced at the Users' Meeting dinner, on Tuesday 5 February.
