14th ESRF Users Meeting
Grenoble, 8-13 February 2004
The opening plenary session on Tuesday afternoon will be devoted to the present status of the facility, and to the future scientific options, with contributions from the Director General, W.G. Stirling, and Experiments and Machine Directors S. Larsen, F. Sette, and P. Elleaume. It will be followed by parallel sessions, with short invited talks, reports from the ESRF Experiments Groups, and guided discussions on the Long-term Strategies draft document. Tuesday's programme will continue with a poster session and the conference banquet at the ESRF site, where the winners of the Young Scientist Award and best poster prizes will be announced. Wednesday's session will feature a plenary talk and a talk by the winner of the Young Scientist Award, and it will end by a panel discussion on the future challenges for the ESRF. Satellite Workshops
There will be three satellite workshops:
- Phonons in Crystalline Materials (8 February from 16:00 to 10 February 2004 until 12:00)
- Around the Cell Nucleus (9 February to 10 February 2004 until 12:00)
- International Workshop on Resonant X-ray Scattering in Electrically Ordered Systems (12 – 13 February 2004)
