These new access modes aim to respond to the increasing demand and complexity of experiments being proposed by the ESRF user community by providing an optimal use of experimental time and experiment preparation procedures.

The interest of industrial users in exploiting the ESRF s X-rays to innovate in their fields of activity is back to our highest pre-EBS levels, underlining the fact that industry increasingly requires the most advanced setups for its research.

The rewarding results presented in this edition of the ESRF Highlights demonstrate how the challenges set by the ESRF user community nourish our scientific facility, inspiring us to keep innovating and providing the best solutions and services, always with an eye on the future.
