High pressure cell
Details about the high pressure cell
The high pressure cell with diamond windows can operate from 1 - 2500 bar using water as the transmitting medium. A pneumatic valve is directly integrated on the cell that enables pressure-jumps from 1 to 2000 bar in about 1 ms. The pressure-jump is hardware synchronized with SAXS data acquisition [1].

The second system uses a high force piezo stack (Piezo Systems Jena) to dynamically compress a small volume (~30 ml) and reach a pressure up to 700 bar in less than 1 ms. Further details about the setup can be found in the following reference.
