ID23-2 is equipped with an MD3-UP, a new type of PMAC-driven Microdiffractometer with a verticaly oriented omega axis. In its standard configuration it has  a mini kappa goniometer mounted.

The MD3-UP configuration can be changed for in-situ diffraction experiments using low-profile high-throughput crystallization plates (e.g. CrystalQuickX, CrystalDirect, In-Situ-1). In case you are interested in using this technique please inform your local contact at least one week before starting your experiment.
