At the ESRF, there are three main usages of WiFi (Wireless networks):

  • hotspots for visitors - mainly in the Experimental Hall and in the Guesthouse, but also in all main office areas and all meeting rooms: both eduroam and an EPN_Visitors network are provided;
  • internal users with an ESRF Windows laptop can connect to the internal resources (ESRF-Staff) - usage is described on the Intranet;
  • finally, some internal networks are used by registered laptops for maintenance operations on the accelerators (Machine) - mainly in the technical gallery and the tunnel. - usage is also described on the Intranet;
