Cryostat – Cryomech Pulse tube PT405

The Pulse Tube cryostat (  pt405  )produces cryogenic temperature below 2.8 K without the use of the displacers. No displacer means no moving cold part and of consequence no vibrations. It is planned to add a third stage to the Pulse tube in order to decrease the temperature below 1.5 K.

  N.B. The counter weight is necessary.
Cooling time to 4 K :          < 60 minutes
Temperature range : < 2.8 K to 350 K
Compressor : CP950 compressor system water cooled
Working orientation : angles not greater than 20°
Entrance windows : 25 Mum kapton foils
Thermometers : Si diode or Pt100 resistance
Vacuum: ~ 1.10-6 bar
