Registering your publication in the ESRF Library database

Users are responsible for registering publications resulting from data collected completely or partially at the ESRF in the ESRF/ILL Library database.

To register a publication:

  1. Click here, or go to the Library database homepage and click on the “Add ESRF publications” link at the top of the page. The link is also directly available from the “My Publications” page in the ESRF User Portal.
  2. Click on “DOI” and enter the publication DOI in the pop-up window. This will automatically complete the publication information fields. A publication may also be entered using its PubMed number or by uploading an EndNote file (“Import” button on left-hand menu).
  3. Check and complete the content, in particular the Beamline(s), Proposal Number(s) and Data DOI fields. These are mandatory if the publication refers to data collected on ESRF beamline(s).
  4. Click on “Save” at the bottom of the page.

Once the publication has been registered in the Library database, you can add it to your My Publications list in your User Portal profile.

IMPORTANT: Newly registered publications are validated by the ESRF Librarian. If the publication refers to data collected at the ESRF, or includes an ESRF author, its status will change from “pending” to “ESRF publication”. If this is not the case, it will be rejected and removed from the Library database.
