Christian Nevo is an engineer, who graduated from the Ecole des Mines d’Alès. He also holds an MBA from the Institut de l’Administration des Entreprises (IAE) Aix-en-Provence, in France. He has a rich experience in managing complex projects and teams in the private sector and in an international environment. After ten years at Spie Enertrans, where he was project manager for complex infrastructures in France and in Irak, he joined Alstom Hydro Power as Technical Project Manager in 2003. The projects he managed included the rehabilitation of the Kosovo thermal power station, the technical coordination of pumped storage units in Baoquan, Bailianhe and Huizhou, China, and the design and implementation of a 6x400MW hydropower project in Son La, Vietnam. In 2010, he was appointed Tender Integration Manager, and he supervised the tendering integration team for large hydropower projects in Europe, Africa and Australia, while also coordinating the technical solutions, costs, and project schedules for these tenders.

Christian joined the ESRF in September 2019.
