Welcome to Grenoble
Discover a territory full of colors with Grenoble at the heart of it all, and mountains all around. The Chartreuse, Vercors, and Belledonne mountains are what give the area its unique character. Aim for the heart of the city if you’re looking for an ancient center and a nearby mountain: The Bastille, one of the symbols of Grenoble.
This rich natural history and culture makes for so many discovery opportunities. The gateways to the mountains are filled with treasures and places to discover, each with its own identity: the valley of Vizille between the Belledonne and Oisans mountains, the cliffs of the Vercors with Sassenage, and the Chartreuse mountains via Le Sappey en Chartreuse.
