Preliminary Programme

AIM & SCOPE

_______

The aim of this 1-day micro-symposium is to promote cryo-electron tomography experiments currently available on the Titan Krios cryo electron microscopes, CM01 and CM02, located at the ESRF and X-ray tomography experiments that can be performed e.g. at ID16 and a possible future availability of performing the latter on the X-ray diffraction beamline for Structural Biology, ID30B. This will open new opportunities to perform different scientific experiments at the ESRF.

The goal of this UDM is to formulate new communities to find ways to exploit and expand these techniques currently available and soon available at the ESRF. Different views and challenges will be highlighted in a ‘round-table’ discussion at the end of the UDM. Users point of view and feedback on what is important for this new scientific field will be gathered.
