We recruit scientists, postdocs and PhD students, engineers, technicians, and administrative staff to support the operations and development of our synchrotron research facility.

Yes, ESRF has several entry-level opportunities for recent graduates, including Ph.D. studentships, postdoctoral positions, traineeships, and sandwich courses. These roles provide hands-on experience in a research setting and the chance to work with leading scientists.

Yes, candidates are welcome to apply for multiple positions if they meet the qualifications for each role. Please submit a separate application for each position you are interested in.

The duration of the recruitment process varies depending on the availability of strong applications, whether the position is in a high-demand field, and the availability of selected candidates for interviews. At each stage of the recruitment process, candidates advancing to the next step are contacted directly, and all applicants receive a final response once the position is filled. Generally, candidates can expect to receive feedback within 3-6 weeks.
