This mirror is located just before the MD2 diffractometer. This optical element will reduce the vertical size of the beam down to ~50μm, to take advantage of smaller protein crystals. This system should be available for users by April. The mirror and its bender were manufactured by a team at the ESRF. The support was developed in a collaboration among FIP, the CNRS/SERAS and the ESRF.
