Front end and hutch search
idappli at BM29
The status of the front end and machine can be red from idappli application that normally should be running on nela computer on its left display.
If for some reason this application is not running, either
- click on the Front End Application icon on the left desktop: it will automatically appear on the screen.
or :
- open a terminal window on nela and write idappli_appli
Front end should be set to automatic mode (under the Commands menu) using the machine status window so that it will open and close automatically when possible. This mode is set for 72 hours. Think of resetting it sometimes.
Note that if Front end is not open, there are no photons in experimental hutch.
If Front end doesn't open, it can be that Optics hutch was not searched.
Hutch Search
Optics hutch
If you cannot begin the search, make sure BOTH doors of the optics hutch are closed. There is only one search button inside the hutch (at the far end towards the ring).
Experimental hutch
There is only one door and one search button inside the hutch (at the far left end near the control cabin).
