The current issue of the ESRFnews features a series of articles on bringing together academia and industry, at a moment where the ESRF ramps up the exploitation of its potential for innovation and new products.

In addition to the "focus on" articles, this issue also includes, among others, a feature on the world record emittance and brilliance achieved earlier this year, a portrait of Eva Pebay-Peroula from the neighbouring Institut de Biologie Structurale, and an article on nano-imaging techniques used for developing new cancer treatment protocols.
